Social Connector Integration Guide for Zapier Users

A Step-by-Step Guide to Using Social Connector in Zapier

Zapier allows you to create automated workflows called Zaps, which connect different apps together. The Social Connector is one of the features available in Zapier. Here's how you can use it:

  1. Sign up for Zapier: Visit the link provided (https://platform.zapier.com/docs/start) to learn more and create an account on Zapier.

Access to the Social Connector in Zapier is available by invitation only

  1. Create a Zap: Click on "Create Zap" to start creating your automated workflow. In the search bar, look for "Social Connector (Version 2.0.0)" and select it.

  1. Authenticate your Social Connector account: Paste your API Key, which can be found in your Social Connector account settings.

Note that this feature is only available for Builders and SC Pro

Understand Triggers

A trigger is an event that initiates the automation. For example, if you want to send a coin whenever someone is added to a segment, the trigger would be "New user in segment."

There are four different triggers available in Social Connector:

a. New Custom Payment Via Social Pay: Triggers when a new payment is received through the dev implementation of social pay.

b. New Payment Via Social Pay Page: Triggers when a new payment is received through the provided social pay payment hash.

c. New user in segment: Triggers when a user is added to a specified segment.

d. User removed from segment: Triggers when a user is removed from a specified segment.

Test Trigger

Based on the trigger you select, you can test the trigger by triggering the event in your social connector account, for instance, if you select "New user in segment", you can test the trigger by going to your social connector account, manually add a user to the segment, click on refresh list hold on for about a minute then go back to your zapier to click test trigger, if you do it correctly, zapier will capture the event.

Understand Actions:

An action is the task performed by the automation after it is triggered.

For instance, if you want to "Add a user to a segment" when receiving payment through Social Pay, the action would be "Add user to segment."

There are five different actions available in Social Connector:

a. Add user to segment: Adds a user to a segment.

b. Check if user is in a segment: Checks if a user is in a selected segment.

c. Remove user from segment: Removes a user from a segment.

d. Send coin via email: Sends a coin to the specified email address. e. Send coin via Solana address: Sends a coin to the specified Solana address.

Create your Zap: Once you understand the triggers and actions, you can combine them to create your desired automated workflow.

Remember, your Zap can include multiple actions, and you're not limited to using only the Social Connector features.
